The GR8841 is a highly integrated PWM controller. The GR8841 provides several features to enhance the performance of flyback converters. The CMOS process allows low start-up current and operating current. A proprietary green-mode function provides off-time modulation to continuously decrease the switching frequency at light-load conditions. This function enables the power supply to easily meet international power conservation requirements. For limiting the Vds at power on, the soft start function is integrated in GR8841.The applications of the GR8841 include LCD TV/Monitor power supply, networking power supply, notebook computer adapter.
