Product Summary

The CD4543 is a BCD-to-seven segment latch/decoder/driver designed primarily for liquid-crystal display applicaitons. The CD4543 is also capable of driving light emitting diode, incandescent, gas-discharge, and fluorescent displays. The applications are instrument display driver, dashboard dislay driver, computer/calculator display driver and timing device driver.

CD4543 features: (1)display blanking of all illegal input combinations; (2)latch storage of code; (3)capability of driving two low power TTL loads, tow HTL loads, or one low power schottky load over the full rated-temperature range; (4)pin-for-pin replacement for the CD4056B; (5)direct LED driving capbility.
